Iolo System Mechanic

Tune up, boost performance and repair problems

Windows PCs are fantastic when you first get them and they are fast and reliable. Over time though, they seem to get slower and slower. They take longer to start up and applications take longer to start. They may even run more slowly too. Odd error messages can appear on the screen and reliability can take a hit.

What is wrong? Well, imagine buying a new car. It would be great when you first start driving it and maybe it will be fine for quite some time. Eventually though, it would start to lose performance and perhaps reliablity too. The engine may have problems, components may wear out and so on. This is why we get our car serviced every year or every so many thousand miles. It restores the car to full health and keeps it running smoothly. Computers are the same and if you service them and maintain them correctly then they are restored to full health and performance.

Running System Mechanic is like giving your computer a full service. As with a car, things can still go wrong, but they are much less likely with a regular service and you'll enjoy your PC much more.

Check the PC's health
System Mechanic analyses the computer and then the Dashboard shows the overall status. How healthy is your PC? Is it secure or are there weaknesses? There is a simple one-click-fix - just click the Repair All button.

System Mechanic

Repair all or view the problems

Tick the faults ones that you want to fix and click the Repair Selected button. Here you can see that there are 94 registry problems, 486Mb of junk files, and 17 security issues.

System Mechanic

Access even more options
There's a Repair button on the right and a little down arrown next to it. Click it and you get more options. In this case, there are options to start a Repair Registry Problems Wizard and a Total Registry Revitalizer Wizard. You can go through problems one at a time if you really want to.

System Mechanic
